SPIR STAR AG, headquartered in Rimbach, Germany, are the specialists for the production of high-pressure hoses with a spiralized support of high tensile steel wires. With more than 20 years combined experience in design, research, and manufacture of high pressure hose we offer a wide product range of hose assemblies for working pressures from 5,000psi up to 58,000psi and sizes up to 1in ID.

PETROCHEMICAL HOSE ASSEMBLIES

SPIR STAR high-pressure hoses consist of a high quality thermoplastic inner core material, such as polyamide, polyoxymethylene PVDF, PTFE or FEP. Around this inner core up to eight layers of high tensile carbon or stainless steel wire are spiralized. According to the various fields of application the outer cover consists of proven materials such as polyurethane, various polyamides or PVDF.

WATERBLASTING TECHNOLOGY

SPIR STAR has many years of on hands experience in the waterblasting sector. This knowledge is used specifically for the development and production of hose assemblies that are used for concrete removal, sewer cleaning, water jet cutting, pipe cleaning, heat exchanger tube cleaning and surface preparation. With a broad range of hose types and innovative fittings especially designed for waterblasting, the right products are available for these complex and demanding applications.

METHANOL SERVICE HOSES AND CHEMICAL INJECTION HOSES

SPIR STAR hose assemblies are being used successfully for projects from the North Sea to the Gulf of Mexico, e.g. for offshore hose bundles, methanol service, chemical injection at the well hole and controlling hydraulic controlling components. Besides providing excellent high-pressure performance, our hose types are extremely lightweight, have low volumetric expansion and can withstand the external pressures of deepwater. Additional advantages of our product range are hose types that are resistant to high temperatures (up to +150°C or 302°F respectively) and most chemicals.

Our ability to manufacture production lengths of up to 15,000ft (4,500m) has become especially important for deepwater offshore projects. SPIR STAR's products have been approved for use by all major oil companies and set the standard regarding quality, service life and reliability.

HIGH PRESSURE HYDRAULIC HOSES

In High-pressure hydraulics SPIR STAR hoses are the world leaders if an assembly needs to be extremely flexible while at the same time withstanding high system pressures. Some areas of application are autofrettage, hydroforming, rescue tools and bolt tensioning.

With up to 50% less weight than comparable rubber hoses, a superior bend radius at maximum flow, as well as being resistant to ozone, ultraviolet light and ageing SPIR STAR hoses meet all the requirements of the high pressure hydraulics industry.

SPIR STAR AG has been ISO 9001 2000 certified and offers complete documentation and process traceability. Our tried and tested quality management system guarantees that the raw materials (re-move that are) that are used in production can always be retraced completely to the source of manufacture.
