Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) is a comprehensive manufacturer providing over 700 product lines, supporting major industries, from large ships and nuclear power plants to aerospace equipment and robots over the course of its 150-year history. MHI's turbo machinery business plays a particularly important role in facilitating the processing and supply of energy for its worldwide clients. We design and manufacture reliable, state-of-the-art turbo machinery including centrifugal compressors, integrally geared compressors, mechanical drive steam turbines and gas turbines, and auxiliary systems for use in petrochemical plants, oil refineries, oil and gas production facilities and gas pipelines around the globe. MHI provides operation and maintenance training courses, instructing trainees in how to operate and maintain MHI turbo machinery equipment safely and efficiently. In addition to supplying turbo machinery compressor packages for grass-roots plants, MHI specializes in custom designing turbo machinery systems to significantly upgrade existing plant compression systems at minimum cost and duration. The complete MHI API turbo machinery product line is engineered and produced in the same shop and in strict accordance with uniform Quality Assurance and Production Control systems. Compressor performance testing and string testing can be carried out in our shop before shipment. CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSORS AND STEAM TURBINESThe robust and highly efficient MHI turbo machinery packages are designed and sized for a wide range of applications and sizes in various types of petrochemical and fertilizer plants, refineries, oil and gas production and pipelines and other energy related facilities. The highly reliable MHI centrifugal compressor (MAC) even meets the ever-increasing high flow requirements of 'mega' plants processing ethylene, ammonia, urea and methanol products. In parallel with the demand trend for larger compressors, MHI offers a proven line of variable speed mechanical drive steam turbines equipped with shaft power capabilities over 100MW. In keeping with its corporate pro-environmental policy, MHI designs and builds turbo machinery packages for CO2 injection and processing and CFC (Chlorofluorocarbon) abatement, which contributes to preventing global warming and ozone depletion. Since MHI produced the world's first API-617 refrigerant centrifugal compressor package utilizing R-134a refrigerant in 1995, the company has continued to design and produce alternative refrigerant compressors not only for grass-roots plants but also for replacing existing units operating on banned CFC. INTEGRALLY GEARED CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSORSMitsubishi integrally geared compressors are designed and manufactured based on own technology and know-how developed over many years, and comply with API-617/672. The compressors support a wide range of applications such as air compressors for PTA plants and air separation plants. MITSUBISHI GAS TURBINESMHI produces both aero-derivative and industrial frame gas turbines. The MFT-8 is a mechanical drive two-shaft gas turbine in the 25MW class. MHI also produces the higher output industrial single-shaft frames, the shaft powers of which exceed 100MW. Building on our proven technologies and extensive know-how of the past and the present, MHI is opening doors to future advancements in cutting-edge technology and taking concrete steps toward the realization of the unlimited potential of tomorrow.
