Carbone+'s activities started in 1982. Our first activity was the design, test, certification, manufacture, sales and installation of insulation covers – and this is still our primary market – but we have also since expanded into other products to meet specific demands of the industry.

CARBONE+ CORROSION, PROTECTION, COATINGS AND INSULATION PRODUCTS

Plants operating in the chemical, petrochemical and oil industry in particular are familiar with the problems of insulation, and corrosion being removed from valves, pumps and control systems during maintenance and not being properly replaced afterwards.

Carbone+ makes a number of thermal and insulation products that are tailor-made for the equipment concerned and can easily be re-fitted after inspection or maintenance. We also make flange seals which make any leakage obvious without the need to dismantle the connections.

DECAMAT® – REMOVABLE INSULATION COVERS

Decamat covers are quickly and easily installed and removed. They are engineered to perfectly fit irregular shapes such as flanges, heat exchangers, manholes and turbines. They also provide optimal insulation in corrosive or neutral atmospheres from temperature ranges of 50°C to 1,000°C and over.

Decamat insulation covers are a must where regular maintenance or repair, quick removal and reinstallation by unskilled labour are required.

CORFLEX® – ANTI-CORROSION TAPE

Corflex has been developed by Carbone+ to fight corrosion problems by electrolysis when two different metals are in contact. Corflex has the following qualities:

• Resistance to temperatures between -35°C (-100°F) and +210°C (+450°F)
• High resistance to all chemical agents, such as acids, alkalis and solvents
• Very-low friction coefficient
• Fireproof, with a 'Mo'-rated fire resistance

QUICK CONTROL® – ULTRASONIC ACCESS PLUG

The long-lasting Quick Control system offers a clean and efficient method of inspecting insulated pipes and vessels. It has many qualities and performs the following functions:

• Easy and regular inspections without damaging insulation
• No risks of losing the plug thanks to its fixation system

REMOVE FLANGEBELT® – FLANGE PROTECTION SYSTEM

In industrial pipe installations, flange connections can be subject to corrosion and leakage problems. Our Remove Flangebelt performs the following tasks:

• Slows down the formation of rust
• No corrosion builds up as rust cannot develop on parts where the flange rests
• Can be used again and again after dismantling
• Long life-expectancy

BRIDOCHEM® – MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL RESISTANT COVER

There are two types of Bridochem: the flexible cover can be made of PVC or FEP (Teflon®). The Bridochem is translucent, UV resistant and reinforced with a polyester mesh. It has an excellent mechanical and chemical resistance from acids and bases, with a temperature resistance of up to 80°C (with the PVC cover) and 120°C with the FEP cover (for highly concentrated acids).

Leak detection is visible without having to remove the cover, and it can be easily and quickly fitted using Velcro strap and polyester laces.

BRIDOFLEX® – FLANGE COVER

The Bridoflex is a stainless-steel band cover, type 316 L, which has a thickness of 0.2mm corrugated along its width. It is wrapped around the flange to avoid any splashing of dangerous fluid.
