Since 2000, WATECO has been providing fabrication contracts for steel constructions, with a focus on heat exchangers and pressure vessels. We provide the link between Czech and Slovak fabricators and UK, Japanese and international clients such as:

HEAT EXCHANGER AND VESSEL FABRICATION CONTRACTS

Our fabrication contracts to date have included:

• Shell and tube heat exchangers
• Pressure vessels and ambient pressure vessels
• Tanks and storage tanks
• Complete pressure filters and filter housings
• Boiler drums and membrane walls
• Steel structures

As part of the fabrication contract we can include all related steel structures, including skids, frames, welded structures and walkways, casings, cabinets, housings and platforms.

CARBON STEEL AND STAINLESS-STEEL MATERIALS

WATECO can contract carbon steel and stainless-steel construction materials, as well as steels alloyed with Ti, Mb, Mn, Duplex and Hastelloy, or exotic materials such as Monel, Incoloy and Nicrofer.

METALWORKING SERVICES

Our services can also extend to metalworking, punching (TRUMATIC, AMADA etc.) and precision machining. Through contractors in our local databases we can also provide scrolling, rolling of tubes, hollow boxes and structurals.

CONTRACT STEEL FABRICATION SERVICES

WATECO can take complete turnkey enquiries from their clients, including drawings, manufacturing specifications, certifications required and preferences. We then target and identify Czech and Slovak suppliers who best match the specific project requirements of the client.

We gather the vital information on each supplier - their focus and competitiveness, their references, ownership structure, financial position etc. The client then decides on the supplier for their specific project and the purchase contract is signed.

WATECO monitors and manages the fabrication process and provides status reports and assistance during client visits to the fabricator's works.

CONSULTANCY REPORT

Alternatively WATECO can provide consultancy reports to clients, enabling them to select the best fabricator for their project. The consultancy report includes:

• Supplier-base screening, identification of potential suppliers, information on their abilities, their strengths, ownership and limitations
• Information for evaluation of those to be selected
• A shortlist of those matching the clients' needs
• Intelligence on other products available
• Assistance in negotiating the terms of the fabrication contract
• Communications with local authorities for acquisitions or JV arrangements

TESTING AND SURFACE FINISHING

WATECO also sources Czech and Slovak companies to provide a wide range of additional services for testing and surface finishing the manufactured products. These services include:

• Leak tests by water, nitrogen and air
• NDT through MPI, radiography (x-ray), ultrasonic and dye penetration
• Surface treatment: machining, milling, grinding, sand-blasting, polishing, phosphating, etc.
• Heat treatment: hardening, annealing, pickling, stress relief heat treatment, etc.
• Painting, powder coating
• Dosier including materials, operators' certificates and complete compliance report to PED
• Fit-out of free-issued items
• Assemblies

At later stages we can also provide dimensional calculations to PED and ASME

QUALITY FABRICATION SERVICES

We source fabricators who are certified and in compliance with all the necessary standards including: ASME U stamp, DIN, EN, STOOMWEZEN, TÜV EN 729-2, PED 97/23/EC module H1, ISO certificates, BS EN ISO 9001:2000.

Our fabricators have recieved acceptance by independent inspectors such as Lloyd, TÜV, Hartford Steam Boilers (ASME) - all with their offices registered in the Czech Republic.
