Aanderaa Data Instruments - Instrumentation for Surveying, Recording and Monitoring in-situ Environmental ConditionsAanderaa develops, manufactures and markets oceanographic and meteorological instruments as well as special systems for collecting environmental data. Our products are rugged and reliable, while our sensors in particular are known for their low power drain, making them well suited for long-term applications in remote areas without electricity supply. Data can be stored internally or transferred in real-time via cable, VHF/UHF Radio, Satellite, Modem, GPRS or GSM (see brochure B136 "Communication Solutions" on our web site). Our Instruments and Sensors cover the whole range of oceanographic (from the surface to 6,000m depth), hydrological and meteorological measurements. The main contractors in all oceans have used Aanderaa equipment since the 1960s. SINGLE POINT CURRENT METERS AND PROFILERSTo model offshore waters high-quality data is essential. AADI offers single point Doppler Current Meters (RCM 9 and 11) and Profilers (RDCP 600) for small or large-scale survey. They may be deployed in a self-recording mode, in-line moorings, or as a real-time configuration. RCM 9 is now available in two versions, Shallow Water (SW) light weight rated to 300m depth and Intermediate Water (IW) rated for 2,000m depth. If a water current profile is considered, the Recording Acoustic Doppler Profiler RDCP 600 (carrier frequency 600 kHz) is an alternative. The profiler has a range of 50m to 90m. The configuration is easily done via a graphical interface at the instrument, no extra PC is needed! Display Software comes with the profiler. RDCP 600 used in many applications, ranging from oil & gas industry, harbour monitoring, scientific oceanographic studies and environmental monitoring of fish farming. The new Conductivity Sensor 3919 A/B is available in two versions, 3919B has the best accuracy. It uses the inductive principle, and is rated to 6,000m depth. Special version 4019A/B available for RDCP 600, utilizes bus technology to have full resolution over the whole measurement range. The Dissolved Oxygen Optode, a great success since its introduction in 2002, has a wide range of applications, from floaters and gliders to environmental monitoring in harbours and fish farms. It can be mounted on RCM 9, RCM 11 and RDCP 600, or used as a stand-alone sensor. There are two versions, a 300 meter shallow water version (3835) and 6,000m a deep-sea version (3830). Aanderaa Data Instruments introduced a new, more accurate, Pressure Sensor (4017) spring 2005 available with six different ranges giving maximal accuracy and resolution. METEOROLOGICAL INSTRUMENTS AND SPECIAL SYSTEMS A common technology base and standardisation allow for off-the-shelf delivery for a vast area of applications including Ocean and Coastal Research, Vessel Traffic Systems (VTS) in Ports and Harbours, Offshore Surveying, Fish Farming, Hydrography as well as Fresh Water Monitoring (including Waste Water) and Weather and Road Conditions Monitoring. CUSTOMER SERVICE AADI has customers and representatives in many countries and we enjoy a good reputation with our customers.
