The MoClean® automated tank cleaning system, developed by Toftejorg Technology A/S and J. Hvidtved Larsen A/S, is a mobile and flexible system that cleans the internal surfaces of tanks in oil product services such as diesel, kerosene, jet fuel and other chemicals or petrochemicals.
Today, most tank cleaning jobs are performed manually by simple sludge removing procedures. The tedious and hazardous work may take up to weeks at a time.
From weeks to just one day!
The MoClean® system provides a faster and safer way of cleaning tanks, without the need for man entry into the tanks during the cleaning process. The MoClean® system is a fully integrated process providing simultaneous tank cleaning and the separation of the cleaned-out sludge into oil, water and solids components.
Use of the MoClean® system can reduce the duration of the entire mobilization, cleaning and oil recovery process to less than one day. Moreover, in contrast to manual tank cleaning operations, a single operator can easily handle the entire MoClean® process.
The specially designed Toftejorg cleaning machines, installed inside the tank during the cleaning process, insure the efficient and thorough cleaning of all internal surfaces, thereby rendering the tank absolutely clean and ready for inspection or hot-work, if needed.
Safety
The MoClean® system is equipped with a number of safety features that serve to prevent potentially hazardous situations during the tank cleaning process. Monitoring facilities are an integrated part of the MoClean® solution to ensure that the operation is performed safely.
Environmental protection
Reduced emissions to the air and recovery of hydrocarbons of up to 99% are increasingly important factors in a world where environmental issues are playing a bigger and bigger role.
The MoClean® system allows both tank owners and service providers offering tank cleaning to take a more responsible approach to issues of cleaning and maintaining tanks, with regard to preserving a clean environment, minimising working hazards and protecting workers’ health, and last but not least with regard to on-site safety.
