30 April 2007 11:09

Eclipse Scientific announces the release of the ESBeamTool, a practical NDT/NDE utility. This user-friendly software allows you to develop and verify ultrasonic testing techniques. Designed by inspection industry AUT technicians, the ESBeamTool delivers accurate graphic and statistical documentation that can be incorporated into your scanning techniques and reports. As the industry enters the next stage of ultrasonic phased array inspection the demand for technical expertise and proper documentation is recognized. You can stay ahead of these requirements by arming yourself with the essential tools.

Verification and demonstration of weld and heat affected zone (HAZ) coverage is a growing issue with the implementation of ultrasonic phased array inspections. The ESBeamTool provides NDT Engineers, Technicians and Auditors with a new method of recording and validating the accuracy of ultrasonic testing techniques.

The interactive user interface provides a simple means to create set-ups from the library, or rapidly design a custom graphic using your project-specific parameters. The various beam presentation options provide accurate graphics utilizing your component velocity and geometry. The resultant ESBeamTool report can be saved and printed for inclusion with your procedure/ technique/ report.

Software highlights:

*Linear and sectorial phased array modes
*Library of common transducers, wedges, and weld geometries
*Ability to customize or create your own components with ease
*Upstream/ downstream transducers, wedges, and weld mirroring capability
*Interactive slider bars for inputting parameters... a clean simple user interface
*Infinite range of angles and modes to perfect your scanning solution
*Options save your layout and print a range of comprehensive reports

ESBeamTool

ESBeamTool is the fast easy way to generate the technique for your application. Let the software do the work - simply define the conditions and confirm the inspection approach.

Three simple steps, then print your report.
1. Know the physical part detail (dimensions, weld geometry and material properties)
2. Select the probe and wedge
3. Define the linear or sectorial scan characteristics

We value your input and feedback.
