Eclipse Scientific introduces the new WEBSCAN (Wheel Encoded Bolt Scanner) series of scanners, a practical solution for the inspection and monitoring of bolts for cracks and other bolt degradation. The WEBSCAN is designed to determine the extent of corrosion and identify cracking all without removing the bolt eliminating equipment downtime.
The WEBSCAN is fast and easy to use. Its fully encoded travel provides detailed scan display of both cracking and corrosion with defect images that are clear and easy to interpret.
Available in three sizes, the WEBSCAN fits a wide range of studs and bolts and fastens directly to the thread, bolt head or nut. Adjustable spring mounting ensures an even probe/bolt surface contact and protective wear face plates ensure that the phased array probe does not suffer abrasion damage. Alternative housings can be ordered to accommodate any bolt/stud or probe.
