Neptune Research - Composite Pipe Repair

Neptune Research Inc provides composite pipe repair solutions including pipe reinforcement, rehabilitation, corrosion protection and leak sealing. Pipe repair and corrosion remediation of damaged risers, pipelines using our unique composite repair methods, provides online repair solutions to degraded pipe situations. Repairing natural gas, high pressure injection lines, sub-sea lines, risers, tees, joints and welds are standard applications for the Syntho-Glass system.

PIPELINE REHABILITATION

Rehabilitation of corroded and damaged pipelines is the main focus of the Syntho-Glass composite reinforcement system. Using a two-part system of Kevlar reinforced epoxy and polyurethane water-activated glass fiber, our Syntho-Glass system reinforces damaged pipelines and pipe work from ½in to 36in in diameter and pressures up to 1,500psi.

• Syntho-Glass - polyurethane water-activated prepreg glass fiber offers the unique abilities of sub-sea as well as land based applications with the ease of use of pre-coated cloth for speed of use
• Syntho-SubSea - a specialized high adhesion strength and compression strength epoxy system that fills in corroded pitting and transfers the internal load to the Syntho-Glass

CORROSION PROTECTION OF PIPES AND PIPELINES

Ensuring corrosion resistance of pipelines, leg jackets, sub-sea joints as well as tees and joints above the waterline, using our Syntho-Shield system composed of petrolatum tape for corrosion protection along with Syntho-Glass ensures corrosion as well as mechanical protection in a user friendly solution.

• Petrolatum tape - corrosion-inhibiting tape coating that surrounds pipe walls, joints tees and acts as a soft non-water permeable coating
• Syntho-Glass - mechanical outer wrap that ensures impact resistance, rock shielding and protects the soft inner layer of Petrolatum tape

NATURAL GAS LEAK SEALING AND REINFORCEMENT

Our patent pending technology of sealing live natural gas leaks using Trident-Seal, in distribution lines up to 60psi with the pressure still on, is one of the only versatile solutions to threaded fitting leaks as well as pinholes.

Simple to apply and works on manifolds, corroded pinholes, leaking fittings and irregularly shaped flanges. Reinforcement of these corroded lines using our Trident-Wrap riser repair and reinforcement kits can provide long term repair of corroded risers without shutdown or replacement.
