Outokumpu Stainless Tubular Products manufactures welded stainless steel pipes and tubes for the hydrocarbons industry. Our stainless steel pipes and tubes are used in high pressure piping applications and energy recovery systems based in brackish or sea water reverse osmosis facilities.

STAINLESS STEEL WELDED TUBULAR HEAT EXCHANGERS

Stainless steel welded tubular heat exchangers are essential components in a wide variety of industrial processes. Our tubular heat exchangers can be modified to cater for a broad spectrum of customised material and processing solutions, including annealed and pickled solutions, inline bright annealed solutions, inline annealed and externally pickled solutions, electro polished solutions, externally grounded solutions and internally (mechanically) polished solutions. The manufacturing capability covers both straight and coiled tubes.

WELDED HIGH STRENGTH SAF 2507® PIPES

We manufacture high strength super duplex grade SAF 2507 that will ultimately be applied to high-pressure systems within SWRO plants.

The superior strength of welded SAF 2507 pipes will enable designers to reduce wall thicknesses for future structures. The grade's corrosion resistance for this application is potentially a very good alternative to 254 SMO.

REVERSE OSMOSIS (RO) PLANT HIGH PRESSURE PIPING AND ENERGY RECOVERY SYSTEMS

The resistance of 316L austenitic steel against crevice and pitting corrosion is inadequate for long-term use in high pressure SWRO piping systems. Today, the Outokumpu grade 254 SMO® has successfully replaced 316L in a number of plants and is a common grade for the application, due to its high level of operational reliability.

These pipes are exclusively produced in our mills in Storfors and Fagersta (Sweden). Larger diameter, thick-wall pipes are produced in Storfors and smaller diameter tubes are produced in Fagersta.
