In-line Inspection
An in-line inspection will detect if there is any external and internal corrosion, together with possible dents and other imperfections.
The inspection system consists of an ultrasonic inspection tool, either WeldScan, PipeScan or a combination of both. The propulsion of the tool is performed by a either a self-propelled pump pig, a bi-di pig or a tractor. There will also be a winch with an integrated umbilical and a control computer for the propulsion device and data collection. The total system package includes the following main items:
- Inspection tool with ultrasonic system, control cabinets, power supply, etc
- Necessary support tools, equipment and spares for the operation
