Safway Services has been recognised for its outstanding safety practices by Consigli Construction Co., one of the Boston area’s leading commercial construction firms, on the basis of Safway’s strong safety culture and rock-solid execution.
Safway was one of three subcontractors so recognised, out of more than 100 service firms that work with Consigli throughout New England.
Consigli president Matthew D. Consigli said, "We truly appreciate the proactive approach Safway Services is taking toward making projects successful in every way, especially with regard to the health and well-being of its employees."
Although Safway has worked with Consigli Construction on many projects over the years, the president particularly noted Safway’s work providing scaffolding and other access equipment for construction and renovation on projects at two leading universities, Harvard’s Smith Centre and Yale’s Hendrie Hall.
The awards are based on performance metrics garnered through a detailed safety auditing process conducted by Consigli’s Safety Department. Safway had zero incidents and the highest ‘percent safe’ scoring with at least 1,000 observations.
"We are privileged to be working together, and hope to continue a strong record of working safely," Consigli said of his firm’s relationship with Wisconsin-based Safway.

He added that personal relationships between Safway and Consigli managers allows for excellent communication of expectations.
