StocExpo is the number one European event for specialists in the oil storage tank industry where terminal operators, service providers and technology developers will meet to view and debate the latest products and solutions in the bulk storage industry.
At StocExpo 28-30 March, Oreco will demonstrate the concept of its two turn-key process systems, both combining internal cleaning of the tanks with simultaneous separation of the cleaned out sludge. The Oreco systems meet the highest health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards in the world and offer a wide range of safety features.
The patented BLABO® system is especially designed to clean large difficult-to-clean tanks like crude oil and heavy fuel oil. The system consists of up to four containerised process modules. It provides desludging, cleaning and oil recovery in one integrated process. BLABO® is suitable for both floating and fixed roof tanks.
The smaller MoClean® system is directed towards small and medium sized oil product tanks containing diesel, kerosene, jet fuel, chemicals/petrochemicals, etc.
The Oreco solutions make tank cleaning faster, safer and more environmental-friendly while ensuring the highest achievable cleaning quality.
New at StocExpo: ATEX certified tank cleaning system
At StocExpo, Oreco will, for the first time, present its reengineered BLABO® system complying with the new strict EU ATEX directive that will come into force the 30th of June 2006.
Over the past years, stricter HSE legislation and directives have come into force throughout the world. The EU ATEX directive is a direct result of the increased focus on safety. The ATEX directive applies to equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and is a big step towards increased safety as it covers both mechanical and electrical components, whereas the former directive, CENELEC, only applied to electrical safety.
The reengineered ATEX certified BLABO® system will make it easier for service providers, who offer tank cleaning services, to comply with the ATEX directive for work in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Every aspect of the Oreco systems has been designed with HSE in mind. The benefits of the systems include a range of safety features and procedures that significantly reduce hazardous and costly risks common with manual cleaning. Oreco’s vision is to develop industry leading systems that exceed the most demanding HSE standards and the new ATEX directive fits well into our HSE strategy.
