CCI - Control Valves for Severe Service Applications

CCI has supplied tens of thousands of severe service control valves to customers in the oil and gas, offshore production, pipeline, petrochemical and refining industries over the past 40 years. CCI revolutionized the industry with its invention of tortuous-path velocity control valve technology in 1967, and today the company is the industry leader in providing solutions for severe service control valve applications.

CCI DRAG® VALVE TECHNOLOGY

CCI DRAG® valve technology was developed to meet the needs of the most demanding applications within the oil and gas and petrochemical industries. CCI's unique solutions are specifically designed for the common control valve problems created by aggressive fluids, erosive media and exceptionally high-pressure differentials. CCI's exclusive DRAG® disk stack controls the flow velocity of process fluid throughout the process control by forcing it to follow multiple right-angle turns. These turns generate a resistance to flow, limiting the trim exit velocity to a safe level regardless of the pressure drop across the valve.

CCI DRAG® VALVES FOR OIL AND GAS

Whatever your application, CCI can create a valve solution to optimize your process. CCI routinely provides reliable and robust solutions for the following applications:

  • Vent to Flare - tight shutoff with exceptional noise and vibration control
  • Choke - long life against aggressive media and high pressure differentials
  • Compressor Recycle - tight shutoff, one-second stroking speed with pneumatic actuation, exceptional noise and vibration control
  • Level Control - exceptional longevity with reliable, precise control
  • Feed Gas - reliable operation, excellent rangeability
  • Overboard Dump / Injection Pump Recycle - reliable operation, cavitation and vibration control
  • Metering and Interconnect - exceptional rangeability, reliable control
  • Steam System Feedwater, Spraywater and Recirculation - longevity, precise control

VALVE DOCTOR® METHOD FOR CONTROL VALVE PROBLEMS

CCI is the only organization that utilizes the Valve Doctor® approach to solving your control valve problems. Unlike an equipment manufacturer, CCI engineers evaluate your entire system to diagnose the problems and propose the best solution for your system to improve efficiency, reduce losses, and increase overall profitability.

BENEFITS OF CCI DRAG® VALVES

Reliable Control: excessive kinetic energy in fluids is the primary cause of damage to control valves and control valve trim. CCI DRAG® controls destructive fluid velocities across the entire flow range.

High Rangeablity: the flow characteristics for CCI valves are customized to meet the application's demand. The control curve can be changed to give both exceptional low-flow control and large overall capacity.

Robust Materials: CCI chooses its valve materials to meet the requirements of the application and specification, routinely using exotic metals, coatings and compounds to provide the most robust valve solution.

Vibration and Noise Control: excessive fluid velocities cause valve noise and vibration. CCI DRAG® technology controls noise and vibration at their source.

Fast Actuation: CCI's pneumatic actuation systems combine the speed and stiffness of hydraulics with the reliability and control of pneumatics.

SEVERE SERVICE VALVES FOR EXTRACTION, PROCESSING AND TRANSPORTATION OF OIL AND GAS

Each step in the extraction, processing and transportation of oil and gas creates service conditions that require severe service valves. CCI has the solution for each component in this process. From wellhead chokes to compressor and gas transmission valves, CCI engineers the best technical solution.

GLOBAL FACILITIES

With our efficient and modern manufacturing facilities in Rancho Santa Margarita, California; Winterthur, Switzerland; Saffle, Sweden; Osaka, Japan; Vienna, Austria; and Kyunggi-Do, South Korea, CCI is globally positioned to meet your control valve needs.
