Definition:
Pipeline Pigs (Pipeline Inspection Gauges) are pieces of equipment used to clean pipelines. The pig is propelled down the pipeline by compressed gas or fluid. Pigging systems and equipment are also used in smaller diameter pipes in continuous and batch process plants.
