Deals this week: AEW UK Long Lease REIT, Delek Logistics Partners, SK Holdings

UK-based investment company AEW UK Long Lease REIT has signed an agreement to acquire Applegreen petrol filling station for £3.82m ($5.33m).

The Applegreen petrol filling station is located in Crawley, West Sussex, UK.

The deal is expected to strengthen AEW UK Long Lease REIT’s investment portfolio in the fuel retailing business.

Delek Logistics Partners has signed an agreement to acquire Big Spring logistics assets from Delek US Holdings for $315m.

The assets comprise storage tanks and product terminals located in Duncan, Oklahoma, US.

Delek Logistics will provide marketing services for various Big Spring refinery products, as part of the agreement.

Based in the US, Delek Logistics Partners is a midstream energy company, while Delek US Holdings is a US-based owner and operator of logistics and marketing assets.

The deal is expected to strengthen Delek US Holdings’ storage business assets base.

SK Holdings plans to form a joint venture with Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) to invest in petrochemical and renewable energy development projects.

Based in South Korea, SK Holdings is a diversified holding company, while Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) is an integrated oil and gas company based in Malaysia.

US-based oil and gas company Suemaur Exploration & Production plans to divest between 40% and 80% of its operated working interest in 26 wells along with leasehold acreage assets located in Brooks, Hidalgo, Nueces, and Willacy counties in Texas, US.

Canadian oil and gas company Groundstar Resources plans to raise C$0.2m ($0.16m) through the private placement of 20 million units priced at C$0.01 ($0.008) a unit.

Each unit will include one share and one share purchase warrant, which allows the holder to purchase an additional share priced at C$0.05 ($0.04) in the first year from closing of the offer and C$0.075 ($0.06) in the second year.

The company will use the proceeds for various purposes, including drilling of new wells, farm-in opportunities and for other general corporate purposes.

The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of March.

UK-based oil and gas company Solo Oil has raised £2m ($2.8m) through the public offering of 57 million shares priced at £0.035 ($0.049) a share.

The company plans to use the proceeds to purchase an additional 5% interest in Horse Hill Developments and to expand its portfolio.

Fremont Petroleum Corporation has raised A$2m ($1.57m) through the private placement of 286 million shares priced at A$0.007 ($0.005) a share.

The US-based oil and gas company has issued one free unlisted option for every two shares priced at A$0.02 ($0.015) a share, as part of the placement.

Fremont will use the proceeds to strengthen its portfolio and for general working capital purposes.

PetroGas Company has purchased a minority interest in oil and gas mineral assets located in Terry County in the Permian Basin, Texas, US.

The deal will strengthen the US-based oil and gas company’s oil and gas asset base in Texas.

ONGC Videsh has agreed to establish a joint venture company with Chilean oil and gas company GeoPark.

Set to be headquartered in Bogota, Colombia, the JV company will deal with acquisitions, investments and development of upstream oil and gas projects in Latin America.

ONGC Videsh is a subsidiary of Indian oil and gas company Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

US-based oil and gas company PDC Energy has signed a purchase and sale agreement to divest its oil and gas assets located in south-eastern Ohio, US, for $40m.

The assets are part of the Utica Shale and cover an area of 62,450 acres.

The deal is scheduled to be closed by the end of the first quarter of 2018.
