Repsol YPF Discovers Huge Gas Find in Argentina

Repsol YPF has discovered significant non-conventional gas in the Neuquen basin in Argentina.

The gas find is expected to hold 127Bcm, equivalent to four years’ gas consumption in Spain.

Repsol’s latest discovery is included in its 2010-14 Exploratory Development Program and adds to other projects carried out in the Neuquen basin.

The Argentinean Government and international investors have positively valued YPF’s strategy, which has attracted a growing market interest.
