ETC Signs Gas Service Agreement with SM Energy

13 April 2011

ETC Texas Pipeline has entered into long-term gas service agreement with SM Energy to gather, transport and process production of gas from SM Energy's Eagle Ford shale assets in South Texas, US.

According to the agreement, ETC will construct a gathering and transportation pipeline and related facilities, along with new processing plant to serve the Eagle Ford assets.

The gas transported through the ETC pipeline will be processed at the new plant.

ETC will provide up to 240,000btu per day or about 190 million cubic feet per day in firm commitment transportation over a ten-year term beginning in 2013.

SM Energy president and CEO Tony Best said the new agreement with ETC provides additional, longer term take-away capacity for the company's natural gas and natural gas liquids.
