Anadarko has awarded a contract to KBR to perform a pre-front end engineering and design (pre-FEED) study for an LNG plant in Mozambique.
KBR received the contract following recent natural gas discoveries by Anadarko and its partners in the Rovuma Basin.
The pre-FEED study will help Anadarko assess the viability of developing an LNG facility to export natural gas from the region.
KBR Gas Monetization president Mitch Dauzat said that the firm will apply its experience and will work in collaboration with Anadarko and its partners to meet the goals for the Mozambique discovery.
"We will deliver a reliable study in the early stages of this important LNG development," Dauzat said.
