Foster Wheeler will undertake a feasibility study for the development of an oil refinery within Uganda.
Under the contract awarded by Uganda's government, the firm will develop the location and configuration of 150,000bopd planned refinery that will process Ugandan crude.
The study will also assess options for the development of an oilfield, crude transportation and evaluate the relative economics of developing the new refinery versus other options such as pipelines for exporting the crude oil.
The study is expected to be completed by mid-2010.
