Oil and gas solutions supplier Frames has successfully completed the delivery of six single wellhead control panels (WHCP) to be used at Tempa Rossa oil field.
The company received the contract to deliver the WHCPs from Maire Tecnimont Group, an Italian engineering and construction group.
Tempa Rossa is an onshore field located in the Basilicata region of southern Italy. The field is operated by French oil and gas company Total.
Frames developed the six WHCPs in collaboration with Maire Tecnimont Group’s engineering team. These panels are essential parts in the main control and safety systems for Tempa Rossa.
Frames flow control and safeguarding product manager Erik Hesselink said: “Our cooperation with Maire Tecnimont resulted in a high-quality system and the establishment of a fruitful relationship.”
With the local control panel for the hydraulic oil pumps and other essential instrumentation, these WHCPs ensure safe operation at the site location.
By enabling hydraulic power and control, these panels are also effective to ensure consistent operation of the Christmas tree valves.
The Christmas tree valves are the on-off valves with a hydraulic actuator.
Hesselink said: “Our decades of extensive experience in providing hydraulic systems for the upstream oil and gas industry makes the WHCPs designed to meet the unique process conditions of the Tempa Rossa field.”
