Kodiak completes acquisition of Williston Basin assets

Kodiak Oil & Gas has completed its acquisition of oil and gas producing properties and an undeveloped leasehold in Williston Basin, North Dakota, US.

Kodiak acquired a 54km² net area primarily located in Williams County for a total value of $245m.

The assets include a working interest in seven gross operated producing wells, four gross wells waiting on completion or drilling, and four permitted and built locations.

Two of the four wells awaiting completion will be completed in November, and all of the acquired leaseholds will be held by production once the four permitted wells are drilled.

With this acquisition, Kodiak’s total acreage position in the Williston Basin has increased to 445km².
