M&As this week: Patterson-UTI Energy, Araca Energy, InfraStrata

Patterson-UTI Energy has agreed to acquire Warrior Rig for an undisclosed consideration.

Warrior Rig designs, produces and services high-spec rig components.

The acquisition will allow Patterson-UTI to expand its technology product offerings within the high-spec rig market.

Araca Energy has completed its acquisition of Geopromneft, which holds a 100% stake in Klintsovsky field and three drilled wells.

With the acquisition, Araca Energy will be able to expand its operations in Russia.

InfraStrata UK has announced an agreement with Moyle Energy Investments for the acquisition of an additional 25% stake in Islandmagee Storage.

Islandmagee Storage intends to construct up to eight caverns with a combined capacity of up to 500m³ of gas in Permian salt beds.

The acquisition will allow InfraStrata UK to strengthen its storage business operations.

Clariant International has signed a pact with Arsenal Capital Partners for the acquisition of Kel-Tech.

Kel-Tech produces and supplies specialty chemical solutions for production, field stimulation, and drilling applications.

Scheduled for completion on 1 October 2016, the acquisition will enable Clariant to fortify its specialty chemicals business in North America.

The company has also entered an agreement with NCH Corporation for the acquisition of X-Chem.
