A Mexican-based Korean car manufacturer has recently installed Spectrex’s latest commercial IR3 20/20MPI Flame Detector. The manufacturer chose to install the commercial detectors during the construction process to provide superior flame detection.
Once the facility is finished, some of the commercial 20/20MPI detectors will be replaced with explosion proof 40/40I detectors in classified areas.
The 20/20MPI is a low cost, high performance, compact Triple IR (IR3) Flame Detector in a lightweight polycarbonate housing. It retains all the benefits of IR3 technology such as long distance detection (up to 140ft/43m) along with the highest immunity to false alarms.
