Saudi Aramco and the ROSEN Group announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to conduct joint research and development in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technologies for the oil and gas industry.
Mr Isam A. Al-Bayat, VP, Saudi Aramco Engineering Services, and Mr. Hermann Rosen, President of the ROSEN Group, signed the MOU at Aramco’s headquarters in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
R&D activity resulting from the MOU will focus on the development of advanced NDT applications for Saudi Aramco and the global market. Products and services resulting from the collaboration will be distributed worldwide utilizing the extensive market reach of ROSEN’s global presence.
“As the world leader in energy supply, Aramco is always interested in partnering with world leaders in different disciplines to provide solutions, not only for Aramco’s needs, but also for the oil and gas industry in general,” Saudi Aramco’s Engineering Services Vice President Al-Bayat said. “We’re pleased that this MOU will result in the creation of high tech solutions and contribute to the development of our Saudi work force in the Kingdom.”

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a form of testing or inspection, used to verify the structural integrity of a component, without compromising its ability to perform.
