It’s a given. When the heart of a refinery stops beating, everyone is focused on the schedule. Millions in lost production are counted on a daily basis. One hour or one day – more or less – can have a huge impact.
Access can be a critical factor in any turnaround. "We’re the first to go in after a reactor or regenerator is shut down," explains Earl Bennett, Safway Services’ industrial sales manager for the Gulf Region, "and the last to come out before it’s released to operations. Everyone else’s schedule is dependent on ours. If we can execute our part of the project in a shortened timeframe, we can save millions for a customer."
