Construction starts on Ingleside pipeline and Harvest Midway terminal

Hilcorp Energy affiliate Harvest Midstream has started construction works for the Ingleside pipeline and the Harvest Midway terminal.

The Ingleside line is a 24-mile, 24in oil pipeline that will originate from the Harvest Midway terminal.

Hilcorp noted that the pipeline will connect to multiple oil export terminals being developed by Buckeye Partners in the Ingleside area such as the Flint Hills Resources Ingleside terminal and the South Texas Gateway terminal.

It will also link to multiple terminals in the Midway and Taft area.

Harvest Midstream Company CEO Jason Rebrook said: “Harvest has a strong history of expanding and improving our infrastructure to ensure access to safe and reliable transportation for our customers.

“This investment is an exciting opportunity for growth that will allow us to better serve our Eagle Ford customers in the Corpus Christi and Ingleside markets.”

Furthermore, the Ingleside Pipeline is expected to have a final production capacity of 600,000bpd, from which approximately 380,000bpd will be supplied by the existing Harvest Eagle Ford Pipeline Systems.

The pipeline will enable Harvest customers to directly access the Ingleside terminals.

Harvest Midway Terminal stretches across 160-acres with a capacity to store more than ten million barrels.

According to the company, the initial build-out from the terminal will include 200,000bbl of crude oil storage.

Measurement and pumping infrastructure is expected to be around 25,000bbl/h, reported Harvest Midstream.

The Ingleside pipeline is expected to be operational by the end of the first quarter of next year while the Harvest Midway terminal is anticipated for the fourth quarter in the same year.
