Deals this week: Angus Energy, Vanguard Natural Resources, Journey Energy

US-based oil and gas company Angus Energy, through its wholly owned subsidiary Angus Energy Weald Basin No.3 Limited, has signed an agreement to acquire 25% stake in the PEDL244 licence from Cuadrilla Balcombe and Lucas Bolney for £4m ($5.54m).

Cuadrilla Balcombe and Lucas Bolney are both oil and gas companies based in the UK.

The existing partners in the PEDL244 licence are Cuadrilla Balcombe (75%) and Lucas Bolney (25%).

The partners in the PEDL244 licence following the completion of the deal will be Cuadrilla Balcombe (56.25%), Angus Energy (25%) and Lucas Bolney (18.75%).

The deal will enable Angus Energy to strengthen its oil and gas portfolio.

Vanguard Natural Resources plans to dispose its oil and gas acreage located in Ward County in the Delaware Basin, Texas, US.

Covering an area of 1,700 net acres, the acreage produces approximately 300 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed).

Vanguard Natural Resources is an oil and gas company based in the US.

US-based oil and gas company Camber Energy has completed the purchase of oil and gas assets located in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, US, for $0.21m.

The assets span 3,000 leasehold acres and include two producing wells and seven non-producing wells.

The acquisition will expand Camber Energy’s oil and gas assets portfolio in Oklahoma.

Canadian oil and gas company Journey Energy has announced plans to acquire oil and gas assets located in the Gilby core area, west central Alberta, Canada.

The deal will strengthen Journey Energy’s oil and gas assets portfolio in Alberta.

Samson Oil & Gas intends to sell its Foreman Butte Project located in Williston Basin, US, to Firehawk Oil and Gas for $41.5m.

The Foreman Butte Project is located in North Dokata and Montana, and covers an area of 53,035 net acres.

The deal will expand Firehawk’s oil and gas assets portfolio in the Williston Basin.

Samson Oil & Gas intends to use the sale proceeds to repay its debts.

US-based oil and gas company Double Eagle Royalty plans to dispose its oil and gas assets located in Delaware Basin, Texas, US.

Covering approximately 2,556 net royalty acres, the assets are located in the Reeves, War, Winkler, Pecos, Culberson and Loving counties.
