GE, ZKMK to Produce Gas Turbine Production for Kazakhstan

GE Oil & Gas and engineering and manufacturing company JSC ZKMK will form a technology transfer and licensing partnership to enable ZKMK to build GE-10 advanced technology gas turbines in Kazakhstan.

ZKMK will manufacture, supply, test and service the GE-10 gas turbine units, which will be used in critical infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan.

GE-10, a 10-14MW gas turbine unit, is designed to perform in mechanical drive applications including pipelines, re-injection and other oil and gas field services.

The turbine can burn a range of liquid and gas fuels including low BTU gas and hydrogen.

The partnership builds on the firms’ existing service agreement.
