Carrizo Announces Initial Production for Texan Wells

Carrizo Oil & Gas has drilled two Eagle Ford Shale wells from a common surface location in central La Salle County, Texas, US.

The Mumme Ranch 10H, which was drilled with a 1,674m horizontal leg and completed with 15 fracturing stages, had a 24-hour initial production rate of 1,011 barrels of oil per day (bopd).

The Mumme Ranch 12H, which was drilled with a 1,662m horizontal leg and completed with 19 fracturing stages, had a 24-hour initial production rate of 1,220bopd.

Production from this two-well pad appears to have stabilised at a combined rate of 1,125bopd.

About two million cubic feet per day of 1,367btu per mcf natural gas is being flared pending connection to a gas-gathering pipeline.

Carrizo has a 100% working interest and a 75% net revenue interest in the two wells.
