EcoCatalysts' bio-organic catalyst, Nontox™, is highly effective in the remediation of hydrocarbons in soils, water and the atmosphere. Nontox™ rapidly accelerates the normal biodegradation process of most petroleum hydrocarbons by catalysing, hydrolysing and oxidising the contaminants and reducing them to carbon dioxide and water.
As a bio-organic catalyst concentrate, Nontox™ must be diluted to approximately a 6% solution (1l Nontox™ : 15l water) and is applied to soil, water and air in spray form.
The diluted solution, which can be made using saltwater, freshwater or wastewater, will treat approximately 1 cbm of light to medium contaminated soil or 800m² of a hydrocarbon slick. It can also be easily applied in recirculation systems to treat contaminated groundwater, streams and ponds.
Nontox™ can be applied to soil either in-situ or to windrows, reducing the expensive transport and dumping costs and making the soil safe to reuse.
