Our hydrocarbon remediation technologies are unlike conventional organic catalysts, as bio-organic catalysts can significantly reduce the amount of oxidising agents needed to perform purification requirements. Bio-organic catalysts are self-organising and create microbubbles with exceptionally high oxygen transfer characteristics.

Broad spectrum bio-organic catalysts

EcoCatalysts' broad spectrum bio-organic catalysts have a non-ionic surfactant and stabilisers, as well as a plant- and mineral-derived fermentation supernatant.

Bio-organic catalysts achieve fast total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX) remediation for soil, freshwater or saltwater releases. As well as being non-hazardous to marine life and cleaning rocks and beaches, our bio-organic catalysts also rapidly raise FP and lower LEL for confined space safety.

Effective remediation of hydrocarbons in soil, water and the atmosphere

EcoCatalysts' bio-organic catalyst, Nontox™, is highly effective in the remediation of hydrocarbons in soils, water and the atmosphere. Nontox™ rapidly accelerates the normal biodegradation process of most petroleum hydrocarbons by catalysing, hydrolysing and oxidising the contaminants and reducing them to carbon dioxide and water.

As a bio-organic catalyst concentrate, Nontox™ must be diluted to approximately a 6% solution (1l Nontox™ : 15l water) and is applied to soil, water and air in spray form.

The diluted solution, which can be made using saltwater, freshwater or wastewater, will treat approximately 1 cbm of light to medium contaminated soil or 800m² of a hydrocarbon slick. It can also be easily applied in recirculation systems to treat contaminated groundwater, streams and ponds.

Nontox™ can be applied to soil either in-situ or to windrows, reducing the expensive transport and dumping costs and making the soil safe to reuse.

Our Nontox™ bio-organic catalyst is non-flammable and non-corrosive and reduces flash and toxic hazards in confined areas.
