STREICHER Drilling Technology Manufacture of Rigs and Components for Hydrocarbon Applications

STREICHER Drilling Technology GmbH is an industry-leading company that specialises in the planning and construction of onshore and offshore modular drilling rigs for a wide range of hydrocarbon projects and applications.

Based in Deggendorf, Germany, STREICHER offers specialist drilling equipment, including hydraulic top drives and BOP closing units, as well as BOP recertification services.

Offshore rig technology for hydrocarbon projects

STREICHER was the first to introduce modular drilling rig (MDR) technology to the offshore sector. Its drilling rigs can be customised to suit specific applications and individual client needs. STREICHER’s technology is suitable for when jack-up or refurbishment of the existing derrick is not practical or economically viable.

The company’s industry-leading MDR technology converts offshore drilling rigs into small, easily transportable lightweight modules that can be quickly rigged up on almost all fixed platforms previously used a derrick.

The VDD 400 series offers field-proven technology used on hydrocarbon projects around the world, including in the Pacific Ocean and North Sea.

In addition to its MDR technology, STREICHER provides automated light workover units (unit weight below 100mt) technology, which is ideal for jack-up rigs plugging and abandoning (P&A) operations and on wellhead platforms for ESP replacements.

STREICHER offshore rigs comply with European, American, and demanding NORSOK standards.

Repair and maintenance services for offshore drilling rigs and equipment

STREICHER continues to provide support to clients following the delivery of newly built drilling rigs. With more than 15 years of experience and technical expertise, STREICHER’s expert team is available 24/7 via a dedicated hotline.

The team provides complete turnkey solutions in addition to individual components for building or upgrading drilling rigs, including hydraulic top drives and pipe-handling systems.

STREICHER carries out repair and maintenance work for all of its offshore drilling rigs and equipment, specialising in the upgrade of existing rigs through the incorporation of the latest drilling technology. STREICHER ensures compliance with all necessary standards, including the more demanding Norwegian petroleum industry requirements.

The STREICHER service centre, located in Deggendorf, has development and production capabilities in areas such as hydraulics, pneumatics, piping, steel construction, and electronics.

Well control equipment for hydrocarbon operations

STREICHER offers its global operating customers with re-certification, repair and upgrade services, as well as new build and rental of well control equipment. With an American Petroleum Institute (API) Spec 16 A and API Spec 16D certified facility, the company and its industry partners can support the re-certification of all major types and manufacturers.
