HERMETIC-Pumpen GmbH has been dedicated to the invention, design and production of hermetically sealed centrifugal pumps as canned motor pumps for almost 50 years. Our pumps are designed for difficult pumping applications in the chemical and petrochemical industries, process technology and refrigeration industries. The company maintains a world-leading position in the global market of seal-less pumps for API 685 applications.

HERMETIC pumps can operate with:

• Fluid temperatures from -120°C up to +480°C
• System pressures up to 120MPa
• Powers from 1kW up to 320kW

CANNED MOTOR PUMPS - TOXIC AND HAZARDOUS APPLICATIONS

We have supplied more than 120,000 HERMETIC pumps worldwide for the most severe, toxic or hazardous applications, where absolutely no leakage can be accepted.

HERMETIC pumps are used for the following pumping tasks:

• Hazardous substances (acids, ethylene oxide, toluene, aniline, hydrogen sulphide)
• Fluids with maximum vapour pressures (HC, liquid gases, propane, butane)
• Fluids at high and low temperatures in the temperature range -120°C to +480°C
• Fluids with the lowest viscosities (<0,1 cP)
• High pressure cycles with liquid substances or super critical gases
• Highly radioactive liquids

The scope of supply comprises single stage and multistage canned motor pumps acc. EN ISO 22858, ISO 2858 and API 685.

API 685 - SEAL-LESS CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS FOR PETROLEUM, HEAVY-DUTY CHEMICAL AND GAS INDUSTRY SERVICES

With the standard API 685 - seal-less centrifugal pumps for petroleum, heavy-duty chemical and gas industry services (first edition October 2002), there is a new specification for worldwide acceptance of the seal-less technology in hydrocarbon processing industry. HERMETIC-Pumpen GmbH is the first pump manufacturer worldwide to present its new pump line in full compliance with the API 685 - heavy-duty design.

Canned motor pumps in single stage design, but also multistage pumps, vertical pumps or pumps in high-pressure design (max 120 MPa nominal pressure) are supplied for special applications.

COMMISSIONING, MODIFICATION AND INSPECTION OF SPARE PARTS

Our after-sales service includes commissioning, modification and inspection of spare parts supplies. The headquarters and manufacturing facilities of HERMETIC-Pumpen GmbH are located in Gundelfingen, near Freiburg, southwest Germany.

HERMETIC-Pumpen GmbH operates its own sales and service organisation throughout Germany and several European countries. Worldwide coverage is assured through long established partnerships with carefully selected independent agents in more than 50 countries. With the subsidiary company HERMETIC-Pumps Inc., located in Texas, USA there is a service facility in North America at customers' disposal.

In the Asia Pacific region, we have established a joint venture company in Dalian, China as well as a service facility in Shanghai, China, to support the expanding business in these markets.

PLANT PROTECTION AND SAFETY

With HERMETIC pumps, it is possible to use the benefits of the best available pump technology for the safety and protection of plant, personnel and the environment by following strict regulations as API 685 standard or other specifications.

The HERMETIC pumps allow excellent MTBF-values thanks to the absence of any mechanical seal and roller bearing, as it avoids associated leakage and failing problems. Therefore the seal-less pump technology goes hand in hand with low life cycle costs and maximum availability of plant and system.
