RADIOGRAPHY: GAMMA AND X-RAY EQUIPMENT, ACCESSORIES AND CONSUMABLES

Gammatec is the sole supplier of iridium (Ir)192 industrial radioisotopes in Africa and the Middle East for the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa (NECSA). Our fleet of B(u) approved six channel transfer containers are used to deliver new isotopes and receive decayed sources for safe storage.

Gammatec specialises in the supply of iridium projectors and also manufactures a complete range of high-quality accessories including remote controlled windouts (cranks), guide tubes and collimators. These are complemented by an extensive and readily available range of radiographic and darkroom consumables as well as a wide range of radiation safety equipment.

Gammatec has distributed the prestigious Balteau range of lightweight portable and real-time X-ray units for the past 25 years.

ULTRASONICS

Gammatec has exclusive distribution agreements with the following organisations for the sale of their complete range of ultrasonic and phased array equipment in Africa and the Middle East:

• Sonatest - ultrasonic flaw detectors, wall thickness monitors, transducers, cables and blocks
• Dakota - ultrasonic wall thickness gauges
• Harfang - 32 element phased array equipment and accessories

EDDY CURRENT

The Zetec range of portable eddy current, conductivity and bond testing equipment has been successfully distributed throughout Africa by Gammatec for the past 15 years.

MAGNETIC PARTICLE AND DYE PENETRANTS

Gammatec's own range of electrical yokes and permanent magnets has proved highly successful in the rough and hot working conditions often prevailing in Africa and the Middle East. These yokes and magnets in conjunction with magnetic particle powders and inks provide a very accurate and repeatable range of magnetic visual inspection techniques.

ACOUSTIC EMISSION

The Physical Acoustics Limited range of portable and non-portable acoustic emission systems has been successfully distributed by Gammatec for the past 10 years in Africa. These include:

• MONPAC - online testing of spheres, bullets and pressure vessels
• TANKPAC - online condition monitoring of bulk storage tanks
• VPAC - on-line detection of through valve losses

Gamma Film Industries (Pty) Ltd (GFI) has the sole distribution rights for Kodak industrial film in Africa. Products include AA400, MX 125 and T200 film as well as the Kodak range of automatic processors and processing chemicals.
